Aloha!
This last week things have finally started to pick up.
We have transfers this week and I am staying with Elder Guerrette and He was made District Leader. A lot of areas in the mission have been closed because we have been losing missionaries faster than gaining. Which makes my district now really weird. There are only 2 areas in the district now but the other one has a tri-panionship. It's going to be interesting.
We have finally been able to set some appointments up with some of the less-actives that we have been trying to meet again. Also, this last Saturday we had a really good dinner/lesson with a guy from the thrift store that we go to every week. He wants us to come back again, so hopefully it works out well. He is possibly the nicest guy I've ever met and he's already halfway there. Gave up drinking and coffee just recently so I'm going to take it as a sign. :)
It seems as though the Season of sickness that has gripped this town has started to subside. Both Elder Guerrette and I have gotten over whatever it was that was messing us up. And we've been starting to get less cancelled appointments due to people being sick now.
I hope everyone is doing awesome. Scripture of the week for me: Moroni 10:5. I love this because it isn't just a promise about the Book of Mormon, it says all truth and means ALL truth. You guys are all amazing and I hope you continue to grow and improve.
Love,
Elder Garrett Darren Smith
