Hey,
I know it's technically not halfway through January, its more than halfway. This week has been good if not incredibly exciting.
Just the major points.
We were able to see the guy that we set up dinner with from the thrift store. It went really well and we are setting up another time for us to meet. We had some less actives come to church for the second time in a row this week. That was really awesome. We've started to work on a new Ward Mission Plan this week with the Ward Mission Leader and hopefully we can get the Ward Council to get behind it because the last one they had wasn't really a plan, it was just some goals. And we all know that a goal without a plan is just a wish. And if wishes were fishes we'd have an ocean full. I'm done with the dumb quotes now. :P
We have a lot of promising things happening right now but time will tell if they pan out to anything. Hoping that things start picking up and setting things in motion that might make those hopes and goals a reality, even if I'm not here to see the fruit of my labors.
Sorry for the shortness of the email. Just know that I love you guys and am praying for you too. Thank you for the support!
Love,
Elder Garrett Darren Smith
