Howdy!
This week went by with a flash! We are starting to teach a lady that we have been doing service for the last few weeks. It's going to be awesome. Unrelated, but , you meet some very interesting people at doors by the way.
It's been really good this week. I'm just so busy most days that I don't stop to think about everything that has happened. The hard part was a month long cram session at the beginning where I had to tackle all of my fears head on and now I'm good with pretty much everything. Door knocking isn't as terrifying as it was in the past and its just very boring and unproductive. But it gives you some good stories :P.
We are still doing the member lessons every week and I'm starting to see an extra benefit to them besides just missionary lesson practice. Our ward knows who we are and actually likes to have us around, making it easier for them to invite friends. It might not sound like a lot but compared to the response that I've seen of other elders in my district, its a big thing for me.
Elder Guerrette and I are working well with each other, we've even got comments on how nice it is to have missionaries that like each other. The funniest thing about that is that we couldn't be two more different people. I've never had someone that I disagreed with more on a variety of subjects than him. But at the same time, we always try to have the spirit with us so that the decisions that do matter don't come from us. It's really cool.
I'm so grateful for this holiday season and the chances that I get to talk with people that wouldn't normally give me the time of day. This season seems to have a softening effect on people's hearts. I love all of you and hope that your Christmas season has and will be as joyful as the one I am having. A good quote (can't remember the source) that I heard the other day is that "the gospel is the answer to all of your problems" and I can testify that that is true.
