Hallo,
I says hi from the far off place of Colorado. Also I got some more picture for you of a trip that we made up to Castle Rock (Actual rock not the town) and some picture of last P-Day when we played disc golf. I'm really loving life, even though not all of it is as awesome as the other parts. Thanks for the pictures of Jamestown. Every week I'm adding places that I want to go as you email me. It's getting pretty long. I'm really glad that everyone is doing good. I hope that Alex has a good prom, I can't even look at the picture of my prom, so I hope that he gets some good ones. He was always more photogenic than I was. Working with kids is tiring but soo rewarding. I wish that I wasn't a missionary so that I could do more work, but no dice. The church is very careful about us doing anything that would require us being with anyone that is under the age of 16. Or even 18. Best of luck to all of you guys.
First week of the new transfer with Elder Madsen. It's been a really good experience, I'm reinforcing good habits with him and creating new habits that I feel will be good for me in the rest of my mission. But it's also been a bit of a challenge. Our personalities are different and we sometimes clash a little but I am growing because of it. If you aren't growing then you're wasting your time, right? :P It's going to be a good 5 weeks for me. Patience, right :).
We are still teaching the same people and still on a good path with all of them. Coming to church just seems to be the biggest challenge with most of these people. Less Active and Investigators alike. Hopefully this Sunday we will able to get them to come, I really think that will be a big advancement for them. Pray for them if you guys get the chance.
We started to do service at a new place today. At the 4th floor of the Hospital near us, they fix bikes for under priveleged kids. We are going there every Saturday and learning a really good skill in the process, Double win. Hopefully when I leave I won't ever need to pay someone to fix a bike ever again. Boo- yeah!
Another week another challenge, sorry that I don't have too much to say. It's hard trying to find a new thing to put into an email when you stay in the same area for a long time. I feel your struggle :P. But I love being out here, I love having a purpose. I want you guys to know that I know that this church is true, I know Joseph Smith is a prophet, that he saw what he saw and translated the Book of Mormon. I Know that we have a prophet today and I hope you guys know what a blessing it is to know that there is a prophet alive today. I love you guys and wish you the best in whatever it is that you are doing.
Love,
Elder Garrett Darren Smith
